Lupe Fiasco is a genius. Enough said. Enough said. Lupe Fiasco’s second single off of L.A.S.E.R.S. is a complete masterpiece and the world really needs to open its eyes. Lupe really takes a lot of chances in regards to this song’s level of danger. Some of you may be aware of what I am referring to, but nonetheless, this may be the best single of 2011. There are just so many reasons why. In my opinion, its been a long time since a rapper has stood up and made statements. We’ve gone a long way since rap was big in the 1990′s.
We enjoyed the whole Biggie/2pac/N.W.A era, but it all had to die at some point. After 2006, we all went downhill in the rap game. The word “game” meant something completely different.
A rapper will walk into the studio, and they will be told what to rap about. A rapper will walk into the studio, and they will be told how to dress. A rapper will walk into the studio, and they will be told how to sound. A rapper will walk into the studio, and they are forced to be an image. A rapper will walk into the studio, and they will lose all their rights as a human being.
Lupe Fiasco may be one of very few that still has a voice. Regardless of the fact that he is signed to a label, he still managed to push this record out. The best part about this song is how true Lupe is. A lot of people nowadays have a habit of not listening to the lyrics regarding a song, that’s why cats like Soulja Boy even exist to this very day. Lupe points out what the world really is. The world is completely messed up, Obama lies about a good 95% of what he really is promising. At this point in our lives, we are only falling into a black hole. Whether you doubt it or not, call the situation fake, and say its bullS**t, its the truth. We are only in the beginning of 2011, and I can make a full guarantee that this will be the realest song to ever spill out of a rappers brain. Guys, when L.A.S.E.R.S. comes out, don’t ignore this cat, he won’t be around much longer unfortunately because “THEY” do not want him around. Enjoy it to the fullest. Overall this song gets a complete 5/5. It is the truth, and its a wake up call to the rap game and to the world. What you have just read above, are #WordsINeverSaid.
