Numebr 6: Drake – “Thank Me Later”

Posted By: Eric at 08:00 PM ET 01/05/2011

Drizzy Drake Rodgers. LOL. The reason why I put this where it is now is because… well, I don’t really know how to explain it. This album brings back a lot of memories. If you saw the post I did for Nicki Minaj, I said that I was sick and tired of her on the radio and being over played. Well the same thing kinda goes for Drake. I don’t hate Drake, I just hate that on TV, radio, and other places they just kept repeating the same 2-3 songs every hour. Aside from that, this album was dope and almost everything else after it has been to. I actually am looking forward to Drakes next album.

Ima be honest and say that I’m not a huge fan of Curren$y but the dude can lay down verses. I really got nothing to say about this album though, but I will say if you haven’t purchased it yet then you need to do so by clicking that link below.

Number 8: Lil Wayne – “I’m Not A Human Being”

Posted By: Eric at 07:00 PM ET 01/05/2011

Alright, some people really are going to hate me for putting this so low, maybe but to be honest, compared to all his other albums, this one wasn’t that great. Although this album did have a few singles such as Right Above It, Bill Gates, & With You. I think Bill Gates is probably my favorite song off this album because its the closest thing to his older music. Side note, I find it funny how some people said they missed Wayne while he was in jail… how could you miss him? A new song or music video was coming out every other week while he was in jail. To be honest, I keep forgetting he was even in jail. The only thing I really want to know is what was wayne thinking when he signed Lil Twist? That kid is garbage and his voice is extremely annoying. Also the kids rapping about how every week he has a new car in his garage… he just got his license and still can’t drive with more then one adult… SMH

Posted By: Eric at 06:57 PM ET 01/05/2011

My list may seem strange to some, but believe me, there is no place in my mind where I have any regrets putting the albums where they are. I won’t be surprised to hear I’m crazy or how I know nothing about hip hop. Truth is, when you listen to these 10 albums, they are the real examples of hip hop music. Hit the jump for my top 10!

Overall, I honestly didn’t feel a top 10 worst was necessary. I felt that the top 5 was deserving enough. The top 10 best however, were judged in order of how much replay value and effort they had. Hopefully I didn’t offend anyone with the following list. Let me know in the comments how you feel about the list, and what you feel, your list should be. Have a great New Year!

Number 9: Nicki Minaj – “Pink Friday”

Posted By: Eric at 06:30 PM ET 01/05/2011

This album was WAY over anticipated. Reason being is because of all the Nicki Minaj stans on twitter. Holy shit, there are so many of them and its kinda disgusting. Not going to lie though, Moment 4 Life & Roman’s Revenge where dope. Honestly though, this album was also popular cause its exactly what 15 year old girls want to hear. I’m just sick and TIRED of hearing Nicki Minaj on the radio. I mean, I barley listen to the radio anymore but when I do, sometimes my top 3 stations are all playing Nicki. She’s way over played. I don’t really have much to say about Nicki, I get really pissed off when I talking about her but the reason why I’m even putting this on the list is because of the fact it was her first album & Nicki can spit bars.

Number 10: Diddy-Dirty Money – “Last Train to Paris”

Man, I can’t wait for people to hate me for putting this on the list at all. To be honest, I don’t care. The reason why I decided to put this album on the list is because this album didn’t do to bad. It sold about 87,000 copies in its first week. This album also had a lot of featured artists like Chris Brown, T.I., Swizz Beatz, Trey Songz, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Wiz Khalifa and more. So as far as featured artists go, this album had a lot of them and big names. I really don’t have much to say about this album though.
